Long Island Music Hall of Fame inductee, Connie Stevens, is a true Hollywood legend who has enjoyed success as a television and film actress, a singer, a director and business woman. Brooklyn’s Connie Stevens was the first artist ever signed to Warner Brothers Records. She is known for her hit singles “Sixteen Reasons,” “Kookie, Kookie, Lend Me Your Comb,” and “Too Young To Go Steady.” She is also remembered for her memorable role of “Cricket” Blake on the television series ‘Hawaiian Eye.’ She can currently be seen in the film ‘The Fabulous Allan Carr.’

Tab Hunter is an actor, singer, film producer and author. He is a well-known Hollywood star who has starred in over 40 films. Besides acting, Tab Hunter also enjoyed success as a pop singer. In 1957, his song “Young Love” reached numbered one on charts. His song “Ninety-Nine Ways” was also a huge hit reaching No. 11 in the United States. Hunter’s autobiography, ‘Tab Hunter Confidential: The Making of a Movie Star’ became a ‘New York Times’ best-seller. It was adapted into the successful documentary ‘Tab Hunter Confidential’ by director Jeffrey Schwartz.

Jeffrey Schwarz’ ‘The Fabulous Allan Carr’ tells the inspiring and tragic story of Allan Carr, a producer known for his work on ‘Grease,’ ‘Can’t Stop the Music,’ Broadway’s ‘La Cage Aux Follies,’ and ‘Grease 2.’ The documentary shows how Allan Carr was the master of the spin and knew how to manipulate the press. He knew how to control the narrative and was able to turn his failures into successes. The movie also illustrates how Carr was able to infuse his movies with a gay aesthetic impossible not to notice today. The film features interviews with Marlo Thomas, Steve Guttenberg, Sherry Lansing, and Connie Stevens.

Jeffrey Schwarz is a producer and director who is known for his documentaries ‘Tab Hunter Confidential,’ ‘I am Divine,’ and ‘Anatomy of of an Icon.’ A graduate of SUNY Purchase Film Department, his senior thesis documentary was ‘Al Lewis in the Flesh,’ a short film profiling Al Lewis from the ‘Munsters.’ In 2015, San Francisco’s Frameline Festival presented Jeffrey with the Frameline Award for his work’s attention to LGBT representation in film.
